The Costain Graduate Development Scheme is an intensive 2-year programme designed to equip high flying graduates with the skills and experience required to take them forward in their career with the company. We expect graduates to rotate after 12 months to another sector of the business. We offer mentoring and support in every area of work, as well as a structured training programme to enable graduates to work towards achieving Chartership with IET. This includes an accredited Further Learning Programme for Graduates with a BEng degree. Graduates will work on a number of projects around the UK during the 2-year programme, in sectors including nuclear, highways, rail, water, airports and tunnels.
Costain offers a range of exciting development opportunities to accelerate your career and enable you to achieve your potential both during and after the Graduate Development Scheme.
We have opportunities for motivated and enthusiastic individuals to help shape our future. The Digital Engineering capability is a key part of our Leading-Edge strategy. As a Graduate Digital Engineer, you will support the growing transformation of the business by cultivating a culture of improving productivity through technology centred improvements to our services and teams.
Digital technologies are automating much of the engineer data that our colleagues and partners execute today. The role will support the development of processes and tools which improve our productivity and people’s lives. We will support teams to automate their workflows, and at the same time create new data insights through data analytics.
You will be expected to engage with a range of projects including those in transportation (highways, rail & airports) and natural resources (energy, water & defence). In the short term specifically;
You’ll be a welcomed member of the wider team, with opportunities to take on additional responsibility, join one of our networks for women, military or LGBT+ staff, and participate in cultural and social events with the local community (e.g. as a STEM ambassador).
Your personal and professional development is important to us. We welcome a discussion about how we can support you with further study, or professional membership or attainment for example.
It is expected that you will work to be a part of the wider project team, living by the programmes expected values.
We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, colour, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
