    Due to continued growth we have an opportunity for a Lead Electrical Engineer to join the Aberdeen office.

    This is a chance for either an established lead or a highly experienced Principal to step up and play a crucial role within our engineering team by providing expert support to a number of projects for our Oil & Gas clients.

     

    Working within a multidisciplined team you will need to be able to demonstrate solid experience and detailed understanding of electrical engineering across all stages of design from concept to execution for both greenfield FEED and brownfield modifications for EPC clients. 

    What will I be doing?

    You will be required to assume control of all the electrical discipline content of projects, working within the project schedule, budget and quality requirements and supervising other electrical engineers and designers as required

    • Ensure technical integrity of all electrical deliverables on the project
    • Ensure delivery of all aspects of electrical design, specification and procurement of the project to cost, schedule and quality criteria
    • Provide input to cost estimates and execution plans
    • Plan and maintain the discipline progress of the project.
    • Approval, checking and preparation of design/engineering documentation.
    • Ensure all interfaces to other disciplines are clearly defined and correctly engineered
    • Ensure work is carried out in accordance with most up to date and relevant codes, standards and procedures
    • Administer and implement company, and where applicable, client/project policies and procedures
    • Liaise with other disciplines, departments, project personnel, vendors, clients, etc.
    • Ability to write reports and present to clients effectively
    • Assist in the development and enhancement of processes and systems for wider use in the discipline
    • Undertake training of less experienced engineers, including duties as a mentor if needed
    • Provide technical assistance to business development strategies, initiatives and proposals as required

    About you

    • Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering
    • Have or be working towards Chartered status 
    • Previous experience in a similar role for an EPC within Oil & Gas with an understanding of the unique challenges this poses
    • Demonstrable experience in Front End Design and Detail Engineering 
    • Strong communicator with a good team working ethic
