    The primary function of this role is to develop and support our clients, and Contract leaders with productivity reporting and data analysis.  Providing collection and collation of data, ensuring the data quality, before using the data for business defined analysis and ensuring confidence in the insights provided. You will have a true passion for asking insightful question for which data can help solve the problem and data analysis and understanding of the Costain business will be a key factor in this.

     

    You will undertake the Level 4 Data Analyst Apprenticeship pathway which is 24 months in duration.

    What will I be doing?

    Duties will include:

    • Work with the Data Insight team and the wider Business Services Group to identify and manage data insight projects.
    • Identifying and collecting data from a range of internal and external systems
    • Interpret and apply data and information security standard, policies and procedures
    • Explore and analyse any and all available data to influence future projects and initiatives.
    • Support standardisation of reporting across all sectors and divisions where possible.
    • Identify new sources of data both internally and externally that would allow us to drive our business model forward at a faster pace.
    • Exploration of new initiatives relating to data and insight.
    • Facilitate decision making by identifying and explaining key drivers of business performance.
    • Perform routine statistical analysis
    • Assist in the production of performance dashboards and reports
    • Summarise and present the results of data analysis to a range of stakeholders

    Qualifications:

    • 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language, science and maths)
