    Costain MWH has secured one of the non-infrastructure frameworks at Severn Trent and has been allocated core, projects covering Waste Water in the South and East and Clean Water in the South of Severn Trent’s service area.

    The Framework office is located in the Warwick area close to the M40.It is expected that we will be delivering Design & Build Project solutions with STW turning over c£40-60 M per annum. The Framework agreement covers both the AMP5 and 6 periods (i.e. 2010 - 2020 = total value c£400M+). Our JV Design Partner is MWH.

     

     

    What will I be doing?

     

     

    Oversee and assist in the delivery of MEICA solutions and systems integration.

    • To liaise with the responsible electrical commissioning engineer
    • To assist in the liaison with electrical design and electrical suppliers / sub-contractors to ensure that equipment is fully set up and commissioned at each project
    • Provides technical input and ( developing ) expertise where applicable / able
    • Assists in equipment FAT testing and close out of snags prior to arrival on site
    • Input into timely production of regular reports to senior managers
    • Ensure capture of installation, testing and commissioning data
    • Responsible for snag free installation and commissioning of areas allocated
    • Carry out regular Electrical Progress meetings
    • Manage and update the Electrical Design Deliverables Schedule and update the Project Programme via the Project Planners
    • Production and assessment of RAMS
    • Manage and Update the Electrical Procurement Schedule and produce Process / M&E Project Progress Reports
    • Audit subcontractor performance
    • Inspection of sub-contractor installation
    • Management of project installation and production of all relevant documentation to successfully close out project
    • Co-ordination of As Builts and Handover drawings and documentation

    About you

    • Candidates must have experience with a main contractor working on Water and Waste Water Process Engineering projects within the Water sector
    • Working towards HND / Degree qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a team environment, although must be able to self-manage
    • Demonstrate ability to challenge and deliver value engineering solutions
    • Meticulous
    • Approachable when client facing
    • Pro-active
    • Structured and organised
    • Able to lead teams
    • Strong overall engineering focus
    • Team player
    • CSCS card required
    • Water Hygiene card required
