    The 'Technology Project Lead' will provide technical leadership and support the Project Manager in order to deliver a bespoke inspection and survey tool. 



    What will I be doing?

    • Entering the project at DEFINE level, you will work on advancing the high level functional requirements and conceptual process designs developed during SELECT using general engineering principles and your industry experience
    • You will perform in depth evaluations of external technologies based on solid understanding of engineering principles and common sense judgement
    • Assist in managing the supply chain to deliver the chosen concept(s) and further the engineering of all ancillary support systems.
    • Performing basic engineering calculations in various disciplines and consult with subject matter experts where required
    • Working in a team to frame and deliver a specific scope and may need to work on several projects simultaneously in different roles
    • Large focus on client expectations, solid deliverables and on-time delivery is essential
    • Final deliverables will need to be presented both in solid technical documents as well as in high level achievement summaries

    About you

    The ideal candidate will have:

    • Previous experience in your specific engineering field of expertise and shall preferably have successfully fulfilled multidisciplinary Project Engineering roles in concept/basic design phases of oil and gas projects and EPC projects.
    • Solid background in Upstream Oil & Gas Systems Engineering, with a preference for expertise in remote access and inspection technology. 
    • Degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline.
    • Previous experience in ROV and offshore surveys.

    • Strong conceptual skills: quickly and accurately translate client requirements into feasible and presentable solutions;

    • Excellent Communicator: must be able to clearly and accurately express needs and results. Is able to deliver clear messages, present results in meetings with clients and adapts presentation style to the situation;
    • Result orientated achiever: gets satisfaction by achieving objectives with the team and understands that in the end only the result counts;
    • Entrepreneurial: identifies and creates opportunities and understands how to frame and interact with clients to generate business;
    • Autonomous: understands the company and business context and will operate – as an interactive member of the team - autonomously and self-motivated, guided by business principles and team objectives.
    • Experience of writing equipment functional specifications, liaising with equipment vendors and dealing with vendor queries
    • Be familiar with the interpretation and use of industry design codes and standards as applicable to upstream oil and gas equipment
    • Be comfortable with writing and reviewing offshore installation and operational procedures
    • Experience of factory acceptance testing, site integration procedures, equipment testing and qualification programme writing, witness and acceptance
