The Aone+ is a joint venture between Costain, CH2M and Colas where they have been entrusted with completing a diverse range of maintenance, incident response, weather management and road engineering duties across over 4300 miles of major road network. The network include Area 12 Yorkshire and Humberside and Area 4 in Kent which commenced from June 2016 for five years and have a combined estimated value of between £140m and £165 million per year.
As a Highways Safety Patrol Inspector you will be part of a team carrying out walking and driven inspections of highway assets to the Highways England standards and recording the outcomes into the maintenance management system

To upload survey routes out of the maintenance management system onto hand held data capture devices prior to site surveys
Manage defects and inspections in the maintenance management system
To carry out evening-time road marking and road stud reflectivity surveys.
To recognise and categorise defects on the network and record them in the maintenance management system
To report any safety critical issue identified during an inspection to the network control centre
To categorise the condition of highways assets.
Display an understanding of how inspections are funded and ensure the best use of time when on inspection routes
Combine inspection operations with other operations where possible to reduce traffic management costs
