Inspections and witness testing of mechanical items at suppliers and sub-suppliers’ premises to confirm compliance with PO requirements, Client Specifications and Procedures, Costain Specifications and Procedures, and International Codes and Standards.
Review and mark-up supplier project Quality related documentation such as Quality Plans and ITP’s.
Review and endorse suppliers’ quality control documents such as material certificates, welder qualification, NDE procedures, test certificates etc.
Identify non-conforming product and instigate remedial and corrective actions.
Ensure that all handover documentation is prepared & maintained on an ongoing basis to enable mechanical completion in a timely manner.
Experience of delivering similar inspection activities on major projects or within a manufacturing environment.
Educated to HNC/HND or degree level in related discipline
CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector (minimum)
Radiographic Interpretation PCN or CSWIP Level 2
CCNSG Safety Passport
ISO9001 Auditor an advantage
