    The Costain Graduate Development Scheme is an intensive 2-year programme designed to equip high flying graduates with the skills and experience required to take them forward in their career with the company. We expect graduates to rotate after 12 months to another sector of the business. We offer mentoring and support in every area of work, as well as a structured training programme. Graduates will work on a number of projects around the UK during the 2-year programme, in sectors including nuclear, highways, rail, water, airports and tunnels.

    What will I be doing?

    • Support with the team’s internal business performance reporting, including reporting to Sector, Divisional and Executive levels
    • Support in maintaining and checking the Water Pipeline of opportunities
    • Developing marketing collateral, including liaising with colleagues outside of the Sector – Value Propositions, video and other formats
    • Support the updating of the market assessment document & producing competitor analysis
    • Develop a library of work winning collateral for the Water sector
    • Support in developing Proposals for Water commercial opportunities
    • Developing case studies for tenders or presentations
    • Liaising with other parts of the business to obtain input to demonstrate capabilities and/or experience to Clients
    • Supporting with Work Winning governance processes
    • Developing and implementing solutions to make the day-to-day running of the team more effective/efficient
    • Other general support to the BD team

    About you

    • Engineering/technology/technical background desired
    • Motivated to support the team is securing future work
    • At ease with asking questions to better understand requirements/processes etc
    • Effective communication skills
    • Flexible in terms of task prioritisation and working to both short and changing timescales
    • Knowledge of/willingness to learn how to effectively use the Office 365 package and other software available
    • Able to travel nationally (train/car)
