The HS2 Enabling Works contract is a c.£500m project over a 4-6 year contract period. Costain is in JV with Skanska for the project. Geographically, the project is spread across the area between Euston Station and Northolt, with major works occurring at Euston and Old Oak Common where the two main site compounds will be based. Scope of works packages includes demolition, utilities diversions, highway realignments, instrumentation and monitoring, environmental works and surveys and construction compounds.

As a Validation & Verification Engineer at High Speed 2 Enabling Works you will gain the opportunity to work on a highly complex, multi-disciplinary project. The V&V engineer is required to join the team responsible for the technical assurance delivery using a systems engineering approach for one of the highest profile and largest infrastructure projects in Europe. The individual will be support requirements development and be responsible for capturing acceptance criteria and planning the qualification strategy to enable HS2 to accept that the requirements and design intent being delivered. The individual will work with the delivery team to plan V&V events against the requirements and ensuring evidence is captured in the Verification & Validation Matrix. The objective of this role is to ensure that the work package delivery validation & verification activities are fully planned and the evidence generated satisfies the level of evidence to issue a Level 3 Certification for the work.
